HUD announces: As of 4/15/10 the upfront MIP charge will increase to 2.25% for all new and refinanced mortgages. So, a buyer should keep in mind this charge if they purchase FHA. You can add this charge to your mortgage amount. I’ll keep you posted.
FHA commissioner David Stevens has made more changes to those financing FHA mortgages: The Seller can no longer contribute up to 6% toward Buyer closing cost. That has been reduced to a maximum of 3%. The down payment remains at 3.5% of sale price. Any questions please let me know.
